Welcome everyone to Week 8. As Andrew mentioned last week, I will be relieving Principal until the end of term and Miss Martin will be relieving ES1 Assistant Principal. I look forward to working with you all.
STAGE 2 and 3 CAMP
Last week was a big week at NLSPS with the stage 2 and 3 excursions. Stage 2 went to the Great Aussie Bush Camp, with year 4 sleeping for 2 nights and year 3 attending on Thursday. Stage 3 went to Canberra for 3 days and had a great time and by the looks from the photos everyone enjoyed themselves.
To the students, congratulations on your excellent behaviour and demonstrating our core values of be kind, be safe and do your best, whilst you were away. They were so enthusiastic and well-behaved.
The hard work is all done in the lead up to these events, and Vicki and Jess along with our amazing office staff did an incredible job and made everything smooth sailing for the 3 days.
The kids were great and had a ball. And we were very lucky to have the funniest and most helpful bus drivers.
This Friday Kindergarten are going on their Oakvale Farm excursion. I know how excited they all how and what a great day they will have. Keep eye out on facebook and the website for pictures.
SPORTS ASSEMBLY AWARDS
Friday the 15th September at 2:45pm we will recognising the students who have represented our school in sport this term. We have contacted parents of students who are receiving awards. We look forward to seeing you.
Our priority is ensuring student safety and as a result of this we need to practise emergency evacuations. In the rare event of an emergency, our students and staff need to know what to do. Our students responded very well to the evacuation this morning and we will be looking at the strengths and areas of improvement. Please congratulate your child on their behaviour during this important drill
Have a great week.
