Our students continue to work hard and do their best in and out of the classroom. It has been a very busy term with extracurricular activities, sport, excursions and incursions and the next two weeks are no different.
Thanks to all those families who have donated Easter eggs for our raffle which will be drawn on Friday 12 April after recess. We ask that the donations please keep coming in. This is our first activity that our new SRC has undertaken and we would love to see a great result. Thank you!

FAIRFIELD STREET DEVELOPMENT
Some of you may be aware that there was a draft proposal for a Department of Housing development on Fairfield Avenue for a 20 unit three storey apartment block. This week I received notification form the Department of Housing that this development would no longer be considered for this street.
MATHS IN OUR CLASSROOMS
Finally a strategy that our teachers utilise in their teaching of mathematics is that no one is “finished until everyone understands” When students arrive at a solution to a problem they are required to explain their thinking to other members of a group. Not only does this solidify their own thinking but enables their peers to understand a multitude of solutions.
Our last day for Term 1 is Friday 12th April
Students return for Term 2 Tuesday 30th April
Enjoy your week,
