What’s been happening this week?
Well heaps! Read on!
Annual School Disco – This week our children got a chance to display some of their groovy moves on the dance floor. Our little Kindies had a awesome first disco with lots of smiles, giggles and squeals. A huge thank you to Miss Dixon and the SRC for their organisation. It’s always a fun event until the teachers get on the floor of course. Apparently we will need to watch this space for a dance off between Mr Griffin and Mrs Debenham, apparently the judges were distracted by Mr Jackson’s break dancing moves. Did the teachers have more fun than the kids?!
A big thank you to our P&C with their donation of a new child-friendly wheelbarrow and plastic shovels. These items are put to work regularly to move the soil, straw and pine bark. The P&C have also donated a new tumbler compost bin. Thanks to all our helpers for their hard work in making our garden special.

No surprises here! Our kids are fantastic on and off the field! Today our students played soccer, touch football and netball. Lots of sun, smiles and skill. Keep it up – we love watching you on the field and court. You have a great team spirit and we’re proud of your efforts.
In soccer, our juniors played Mayfield West and won 7-0 and our seniors had a tight nail-biting game but came away with a win 2-1!!
Touch footy kicked off and our girls were victorious over New Lambton. Our boys went down but they didn’t go down without a fight – they never let up and and it was great to see their teamwork on the field.
After a three week drought, our netball teams were very excited to get back on the court. Both teams played beautifully against a strong opponent in Mayfield West. We didn’t get the win this week but gave it our best shot(s)! We’re super proud of the sportsmanship and team spirit that NLS continue to display each week.
Have a great weekend everyone!
